The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to your community.
SASSA is going to be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it's alarmed in regards to the substantial amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach here Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider stage created for intervention activities a higher inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for your Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all prospects and increase usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
